Mobius Strip Engagement Ring and Wedding Band

Saul requested wedding bands based on the mobius strip. It is a mathematical object with only one face. It was relatively easy to make his wedding band, but his fiance’s ring was a challenge. It was supposed to be tension set and extra strong. A bit unusual for female engagement rings, but it made perfect sense once I found out more about the reasons. This ring was carved from a single stainless steel ring. Casting only one stainless steel piece is simply not worth the cost and preparation time, so this was the best option. The most difficult this was to accurately create the “twist” on the ring and that was simply done by hand. They did not wish any kind of setting, just accurate mobius strip interrupted only by the stone.
